At fortysomething, sewn Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) is living a dream, a good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school girlfriend. But when Cal hears that his wife, Emily (Julianne Moore), has betrayed him and wants to withdraw his life "perfect" quickly dismantled.
Worse, now the only world power, Cal, who has not dated in decades, stands out from the epitome of un-smooth.
